Really good set up and made easy at home
I foudn the Biology test tricky at first as I have not done any science work in years and years. However, after a few weeks of study I got my head into it and it all links together and starts to make sense.
Needed this to teach in secondary schools after my PGCE. Got on the course now and started my traing, so pleased
Had to pass this to get onto my primary teaching course. It took me 2 trys but I didn’t give up. I was happy for hte help A Star gave me and the feedback after my first test was very useful.
Straight forward process
The online exam is something I wasn’t sure about as never done anything offical like this online and I am not that confident with computers, I can use word and stuff but nothing fancy. It was actually very easy to set up and the invigilator made me feel confident in the process. Don’t worry about the online exam part, focus on getting the content covered is my best advice.

Had to do this to get into University to complete a PGCE and become a qualified teacher. You have to jump through a lot of hoops on the way to getting on the PGCE but it is definitely worth the effort. If you are struggling revising through this heap of content ready for the exam, just remember the end goal and good luck!!!
I highly rate A Star Equivalency. The customer service has been fantastic, they have shown be support, patience and encouragement at every step. The examination process was well managed and I am grateful for how generous the company have been to me at certain points. I have just passed my Maths examination. Thank you A Star Equivalency.
The science test was a lot of work but worth the effort.
not passed and had to do a resit
I found the cells part of the course the hardest to take in but got there with it eventualy.
Really happy overall with the A Star service and appreciate all the help given, just one minor minus is the time for marking your mocks. I waited nearly 2 weeks for the results of the first mock and didn’t have time to submit the second. I had to email the office a couple of times but the weekly videos and the papers provided where very useful and I got B so cannot complain much.

Although my course package arrived too late due to the post strike, the online lectures helped me to pass the exam within 2 weeks.

Very good exam material was provided. Especially online lessons for Science by Sam were great.
maths equivalency test is relatively easy. Cover the spec and do a few papers and sit the exam. I didn’t get the top grade but who cares, all you need is a pass
I am now on with my teacher training and didn’t think it would be possible to do this in such a short space of time. I looked at the GCSE centre based exams and would have had to wait until summer then August for the result and if it didn’t work out then no way of getting on the course. Also this equivalency test has no practical element so no travelling to test centres to do practicals and exams thankfully. Straight forward to take the exam at home with an invigilator online. It is all official like just easier set up and a lot less stress.
The weekly lessons were useful, I attended for 10 weeks and found listening to others in a similar position ask the same questions I was thinking reassuring

I found this too hard and need to do better with my study
Like all the others taking this test, I struggle with maths and always have! The thought of having to revise for this test made me feel a little ill tbh but I got stuck in and after a few weeks things actually started to click. Thankfully passed first time!

A good service that I needed to use to get onto my primary PGCE course. Quite a bit of work involved in the science but if you cover the course materials then it does obviously help in the exam as all the same questions come up just asked in a slightly different way

The science equivalency test is tough as you n eed to do all 3 subjects and there is a lot to learn. Unfortuantely I didn’t pass but I am revising hard for my resit and I have been given feedback and extra support so hopefully this time I will get there

Passed!!!! Whoop whoop! So excited to finally get onto a PGCE after 3 years of trying to do my GCSE maths exam and getting a level 2-3 every time. Someone recommended the equivalency maths test and unlike the other occasions I actually did a lot of revision for this and used the course and extra free lessons they give. It made all the difference.
English test was all good. Did the revision and worked through the course and passed my resit. The invigilator was really calming and made me feel comfortable doing the test
English is not my best subject but managed to do this having not looked at an English revision guide in 20 years.
Had to do this to get to Uni and it all worked out I am pelased to say. Took me 3 goes but I learnt from my errors and passed it.
Pleased with the serivce and super speedy results, less than 2 days 🙂
I couldn’t fault the experience. No one that has to do this likes maths and it was one of my greatest fears, even more than spiders!! However, I did the work over a number of weeks, in the evenigns and weekends and the hard work really paid off.

Rosie has been amazing, i did my maths and science exam with A star. Rosie was on the next line straight away as soon as i needed something! I needed my results back asap due to a family emergency and rosiw got them back to me less than an hour
I disagree with having to do this test when I have a degree and I am over qualified to do a teacher training role. So what, I never did my science GCSE, I don’t like science and I will never have to teach it. This company was helpful but I still resent having to do this

Passed first time and off to Uni to complete my PGCE. So much more convenient that doing a GCSE with just 1 exam paper that you can do from home

Thank you for all your support, i would recommend your company to future student teachers. The only down fall is the price. I am proud to say i passed my exams first time.
The maths isn’t easy but if you do the work you should be fine. I was doing this as my teacher training provider said I needed to get a maths gcse equivalency test.
