Great experience taking the English GCSE Equivalency Exam with A Star. I did the maths foundation online exam
on Tuesday and it was very easy to set up and upload answers at the end. Seamless in fact. Just need to do well in the exam now…fingers crossed.
The whole process has been brilliant! I have already retook my maths with A star and that was a bit of a struggle didn’t pass the first time but with the purchased course I then successfully passed with a higher C! Last week I had to retake my biology as I’m going for A primary teacher I didn’t have much time to study for the exam but I really enjoy biology so actually enjoyed the process of revising and found out this morning I passed with an A! I can’t fault A star the examiners are brilliant and really put your mind at ease! The customer service is flawless! The whole process really is a lovely experience if only school exams were the same experience. Thank you so much guys now I can get on with obtaining my QTS!
I bought GCSE Maths equivalency with the course. Course was really I really helpful. It has every single topic covered and with detail. A Star said if we study 75 hours we can pass the exam. I studied more than that because the course material they was tempting to practice specially flash cards were the key. I had my exam yesterday on 16th February 2024. I found the exam hard. But I manage to revise all topics in my head what I had already practice. It went very well. Now waiting for the results. I would say book A star equivalency with a course. There are online tutors. And videos of all topics too.

Had a great experience with A Star Equivalency, was very worried before taking the biology exam but I revised non-stop. I purchased all of the course materials and they were vital for the questions that came up in the exam, I highly recommend purchasing them. I passed the exam first time and would recommend the service from a star again, it has been very efficient.

It was a great experience having done my exam with A Star. They were always asking if I had questions or needed help.On the day of the exam, the instructor was very kind and willing to answer my questions too. They were very punctual with the results and certificate. As an international student, I completely recommend it.
Earlier I was very much worried about my exam,but when invigilator Jessica started the exam my 50% fear faded away,her behaviour was so supportive,she was so nice I have no words to express my gratitude to her and A Star Equivalency ..they are ever ready to support,I would like to book the combined science test too…

The biology was fine as was the physics, i just struggled to get my head around the chemistry. The course workbooks did really help. I passed on the second go after I actually did some work. Make sure you revise which is obvious to say, but I thought my general knowledge of science would be enough, it wasn’t!
I have taken the GCSE English Equivalency Test and opted to purchase the English course. The resources provided were extremely useful. The customer care worked well and answered my queries promptly. I would definitely recommend this provider.

I found the whole process quite stressful having to do maths again, a subject I have never liked but pleased to say it is over now and all sorted.

It was worth the money – I paid for the revision pack and took the 6 mocks before taking my exam. Two of those were marked within days by A Star Equivalency which was incredibly useful as it gave me detailed feedback and helped me achieve an A+ on the actual test day!

I just booked my GCSE biology with A star through A star web page chat. The A star representor Mr. Josh helped me to book the course and with payment. Extremely useful maths course with everything you need. Stick to this and don’t waste time on other websites and the BBC stuff which is useless tbh.
Passed with a levl 4 but that is all I needed for my course
I studied for about 6 weeks and spent longer on the Chemistry part as it has never made sense to me. Thankfully I passed first time. I did use the course and it was invaluable with lots of things similar coming up in the exam.

I had to pass my English equivalency test to get into teaching and it took me two attempts but I managed it. This website and service was good but I feel relieved to have now finioshed it and I can move on
The A star team were very supportive and the Biology exam went smoothly. I had a bad experience with another test provider and was worried about using someone new but A star were great from start to finish.
Absolutely and such great help from Joe David on the lectures! He really gives you a great understanding on what you need to do to pass without making it complicated, and by him just being generally brilliant! I got a Grade D in Secondary School but because of A Star I have passed at a Grade 7 which is the equivalent of an A!!! Thank you for everything!
The staff are quite friendly and polite over the telephone, they help book exam promptly and tried to verify the timeline when the result is needed. The support team, however let the organisation because they will make promises to support you and provide a feedback but this never happen. Obviously, this could be counter productive especially if you need to retake an exam. If you decided to reschedule the exam because you have not been able to get a feedback from previous examiner, then you will be charged administration fee that can vary from £40 to £79. Overall, it is a good service but it can be better.
The exam is so conformable
The exam team were amazing, they respond promptly to all queries and provide details.The fast track service is really helpful.I was in need of my certificate as soon as possible to enrol on a programme, this has saved me or else I would have missed my place.The recorded video courses are of great help and they are free.It actually helps you build better understanding what to expect in the exam and how to approach each question (definitely I would recommend to watch the full 8 lectures) as the tutor highlights VERY important tips.The online exam is easy to navigate through,It was my first time to do an online exam and I was a bit nervous, but it was actually easy as there was a box under each question to fill in your answer on the right side of the screen and the texts were on the left side of the screen.Overall experience was great and efficient service !

In regards to the science biology exam/course, I feel like it is really expensive. I failed 3 times and passed on the 4th. I paid nearly £1000 to pass this biology equivalency exam. However, a discount was applied but still felt like it was more expensive than other course providers. For example, BCU allow one free resit after each exam. I think this is something that should be considered, it’s already awful to fail without the extra price.
However, it is really easy to book an exam and dates are always available. My results were fast tracked and I got them back the next day and my certificate the same day thanks to Rosie. If I was to ever sit an exam again, I would definitely use A* again just because of the convenience and the lovely customer service advisors.

Very efficient customer service .. very well designed website .. the moment you go to the website to know about .. there is a real person on the chat window to give you all the needed information .. quick booking .. quick payment .. prompt emails before the exam and smooth exam process .. quick results if on fast track .. and all the information available pertaining to the test is in your account .. overall a very prompt and quick process ..
