From the start, my experience with A Star Equivalency has been fantastic. They guided me in selecting the right Science exam for my course and provided valuable advice. I chose the Science course, which proved to be incredibly helpfulāit highlighted my incorrect answers, pointed out areas for revision, and offered past tests for practice. The platform was user-friendly and convenient, allowing me to study on the go, even while traveling by train on my phone. If youāre looking to pass, A Star Equivalency is the way to go. I also opted for the Fast Track service to receive my results quickly and was thrilled to get my pass grade in under two working days. Exceptional serviceāhighly satisfied!
It was wonderful experience.The exam format was great, but considering the English exam time, the volume of two sources A and B was too large. As for the exam fee, since I had reserved in advance, I paid the lowest amount, but in other cases, I think the exam fee would have been a little higher. Thank you

I recently took my exam with A Star Equivalency, and I wanted to share my experience. Overall, I found the process to be well organized and efficient. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which helped ease any nerves I had about the exam day.

I was a dunce back in my days so naturally preparing for a maths exam was a panic inducing experience, but using A Star for my revisions and exam was definitely the right thing to do. Thanks to their tools I have passed with 69% after nearly 2 months of revision.
The monthly subscription is great and contains plenty of videos and exercises, which are a great place to start. The site tracks the user’s progress and performance per topic, which gives a pretty neat idea of what needs to be worked on. A couple of minor improvements which I recommend however are 1) A wider range of exercises (I got comfortable doing and redoing the same exercises over and over and over and… after a while ended up answering questions without thinking as I knew what answer to select). 2) More practice papers. The website contains 10 practice papers, which is already a great amount, but I found that taking mock exams was the best way to understand my areas of improvement.
I was meant to take my exam after 6 weeks of revisions, but failed to show on D-day due to an unfortunate last minute technical issue. A Star were at no fault but proved very understanding nonetheless which was a relief. I managed to book another exam which took place between 1 and 2 weeks later. Everything went smoothly during the exam. My invigilator was very clear when providing instructions, and his calmness helped me keep my composure, which I definitely needed.
A Star almost made me love maths so well done to them.

There was time consuming exam paper, on top of that the font was small, when you try to adjust the exam paper you need to move right and left for to read. This is extra time wasting. Obvious teenage faster than adult like me to reaching age of 50 are slow like snail. I know what would be my result but I am satisfied with A star.

The course is amazing and very useful. Whoever would like to take this exam I strongly recommend you to take the course rather than looking for extra materials by yourself. Itās really helpful. The examiner is super supportive and helped me with any problem during the exam. Thank you Astar for the whole team. Itās a great experience.

Passed first time with a Level 4 ( C ) grade for teacher training course starting in September 2025 . A big thank to customer service assistant John who has been supportive all throughout the way . Giving me advice and tips regarding revision. Definitely A* Star indeed . Now to conquer Science ( Combined) and Foundation Maths .
A month before I was due to start my teacher training I discovered I actually didn’t have a Science GCSE… and obviously panicked! I was referred to A Star and the process was seamless. I bought the online course and exam package and it honestly was the best decision – there are SO many resources available on the website, multiple YouTube videos, past papers, sample papers, revision help etc. They honestly prepare you and give you everything you need to know, in such a user-friendly, easy way. I actually passed my exam first time, (luckily!) and definitely owe it to the content supplied by A Star on the online platform. Thank you!
I’ve actually really enjoyed studying biology. I’ve realised how much I loved ecology, anything to do with plants and strangely gas exchanges! Some things did stick, some things not! I haven’t got my results but I’m afraid I may have not passed but that is not a reflection of A* equivalency! There was always someone at the end of a phone line or email. I would recommend them to others! Jade in particular was very supportive and patient with me from first registering to offering support! I wanted this equivalency test to move on into teaching. It may still happen, I’ll just have to wait for my results first!

When I was recommended I had such great hopes about the company but I am slightly disappointed because I havenāt received the feedback with regards to my exam . I need more information and only then will I know if I need to take up the course or not
I successfully cleared the exam on my first attempt, thanks to the course offered by the Star Equivalency platform. The program was instrumental in helping me achieve this milestone. I canāt recommend A star equivalency enough to people, they are amazing. Iāve rated them 5 stars for the excellent support they provide, from course content, to delivery and overall management of their students concerns and queries. Iāve not been disappointed, I would highly recommend anyone registering with A star to not only purchase their study materials but to also purchase the tutorials provided. Samās tutorials helped me achieve a grade 8, more than what I was expecting. Thank you for helping me get into my dream job, you are a star!

Rosie was amazing and very supportive. It was thanks to her efforts that I managed to pass third time round! My advice to people use the course or youāll end up spending more! It may seem like a lot but I tried tutors and past exam papers but it didnāt help till I managed to get access to the course! Good luck to those that do it but the team here are all round good but Rosie was very helpful!

I think the English course is highly recommended. I had only about two weeks to prepare for the GCSE English Equivalency test, and completing the course and its associated exams enabled me to pass the test and achieve the required grade.

I didnāt concentrate very well at school and I have always felt like abit of a failure as Iāve grown up as I did not achieve good GCSES. Now I have passed my confidence has grown and I feel really proud of myself. This course is well worth the money. The papers really helped me to practice and having the opportunity to get a mock papers marked was fantastic.

An excellent way to get your gcses at your own convenience, with some excellent homework aids
I recently passed my biology test with A Star and did better than I thought. I opted for the fast track result and got notification within the promised 2 day time scale. The certificate came very quickly and I can happily say that Iām now on my way to doing my Primary PGCE.
As a mature student who originally did my Science GCSE back in the 1990s, it was a daunting prospect. I bought the course bundle which really helped me to revise the topics and understand how to answer exam questions. The online exam was well organised and straight forward. I highly recommend A Star! In generall I could say that this company gives good service. Very fast checking of the exam and results were sent by email the next day. I did like that the exam was all paper based with your working pages being scanned after the test finished. The invigilator was helpful during the test and with the submission of scanned documents. In an overview they gave good customer service.
