I recently passed my Combined Science equivalency exam on my second attempt, and I honestly couldn’t be more relieved. The first time I missed it by just 7 marks, which was really disheartening. It felt daunting going back in to sit it again, especially knowing how close I had been. I remember reading reviews, trying to see how many attempts it took other people to pass because I was in the exact same position, doubting myself and wondering if I could do it.
The second time, I made sure I looked back on the feedback and revised the topics I needed to work on, and then focused on all 7 past papers. The past papers were a great revision tool and really helped with exam technique and timing, but having that full understanding of the content first made a huge difference.I chose the fast track option and received my results at 12am the next day!!!
I would definitely recommend getting the course if you’re serious about passing, it gives you structure and clarity on exactly what you need to know. And last but not least, hats off to the invigilator, he was a star. He was calm, reassuring, and made the whole experience feel far less intimidating, which meant a lot on such a nerve-wracking day!!!!!!!!!! If you’re reading this because you’re unsure or you didn’t pass the first time, don’t give up. I was in that position too, and now I’ve passed :))). Thank you astar for helping me achieve this milestone!

I completed the online Science course as I was in Spain and needed to complete my Science for my PGCE in England coming in September. The course itself whether online or on paper is very well structured, by topic, activities and exam practice questions which is incredibly useful for the examination itself. I then did my exam and the team are brilliant at setting you at ease and making sure that everything is done and you can opt for fast track, which I did in order to get my results quickly for my PGCE beginning in September. I am so happy I have achieved my pass in this exam and cannot thank A Star enough for providing an excellent service for equivalency examinations and cannot thank them enough. Now, onto PGCE in Primary.
